hi guys!

thank you to all who came to support the beer festival fab club special on
sunday! especially to sue and trev for being great mcs, dennis, adrian and
len for helping with the gear and all the performers!
following our success, i have quite a bit of news to tell you!

1- chris and ben, the landlords, were so impressed by all of us that they
offered to pay a share of the band i have booked for this sunday so that
we could be in the bar again...
it means ENTRY WILL BE FREE FOR ALL! of course there will be the usual
raffle and lots of chances to perform.
the band is doing 2 sets of 30 minutes and the comperes are mick and nora!

2- the band... well it was meant to be shambolica but they let me down on
monday so... i've invited a band from south london called ELUSIVE TEETH.
i've seen them at croydon folk club and i thought they were so refreshing
that i was sorry i couldn't fab club them as i was already booked! they
touch the style of colvin quarmby for those who are familiar with gerry
and his gang. acoustic folk rock is what i would use to describe them...

3- chris and ben were actually so impressed that they asked for the club
to be in the bar every sunday. it means amplification and not such an
intimate atmosphere so i have agreed to only have our special sessions in
there (once a month)... professional bands, st george's day, etc. we'll
see how it goes... if you have any comments on that, please let me know...
from what i have heard so far, people do not wish to be in the bar every
sunday so i've acted upon that.

4- fab club, back on the radio? very likely...
following all this i'm a little behind of sorting out the pict from sunday
so bear with me please, they'll soon be on the website.

5- i'm hosting andy smythe's gig on friday (23rd) at the leopards' club in
orpington.

and sunday! 2:30 pm fab club at the white hart with elusive teeth and all
